Frequently Asked Questions
Questions and answers about DELAMIA: what our garments are, how they are made, shipping, returns and garment care.
What is DELAMIA?
DELAMIA is an Italian label of exclusive garments, its creations born from precious vintage fabrics embroidered by hand. Each piece, meticulously crafted by hand in Italy, is a one-of-a-kind work. The collection is currently devoted to shorts, but the same care and dedication will soon give form to new creations.
What does DELAMIA sell?
Only clothing: women's shorts in linen and cotton, cut from vintage embroidered fabrics. Every piece is one of a kind.
What are vintage embroidered fabrics? Do you do the embroidery?
No, the embroidery isn't ours: it is original to the vintage cloth each piece is born from. We start from fabrics already hand-embroidered in another time — vintage linen and cotton — and turn them into new shorts. It's upcycling: giving new life to cloth that already exists.
Is each piece really one of a kind?
Yes. Every pair is cut from a different fabric. Once a piece is sold, it doesn't come back: it exists in a single example.
Where are they made?
Handmade in Italy. Fabric selection, cutting and tailoring are all done by hand.
Which size should I choose?
Each pair is a one-of-a-kind piece in a single size, shown on its product page: most are size S (IT 40–42), some M. If in doubt, write to us.
How much do they cost?
Shorts range from €165 to €195, depending on the rarity of the fabric. Each piece's price is shown on its page, the same across every country.
Where do you ship and how much is it?
We ship to Italy and 11 European countries. Shipping is free. Delivery takes 3 to 7 working days.
Can I return an item?
Yes. You have 14 days to change your mind and returns are free. The piece must be returned intact and unworn.
How do I care for my shorts?
Hand wash in cold water, do not bleach, dry flat in the shade. It's vintage cloth: treat it with the gentleness it deserves.
